PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Indiana travels east for a matchup against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Tuesday at Jersey Mike's Arena.

Coach Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers snapped a six-game losing streak against Rutgers last season, but they haven't won in Piscataway since 2018. Indiana is coming off a 71-65 home victory over Ohio State on Saturday, and Rutgers lost 86-77 at Iowa.

The Scarlet Knights have played their usual, stingy defense this season, but their struggling offense has led to an 0-3 start in Big Ten play.

Meet the coaches

• Steve Pikiell, Rutgers:Pikiell is in his eighth season at Rutgers with a 125–112 overall record and a 56-83 mark in Big Ten play. Rutgers had a losing record in each of Pikiell's first three seasons, but has since gone above .500 in each of the last four seasons with two NCAA Tournament appearances. Prior to Rutgers, Pikiell coaches Stony Brook for 11 seasons and went 192–156, culminating with its first NCAA Tournament appearance under Pikiell in 2016. Pikiell played point guard at UConn from 1986-91, then held assistant coaching positions at UConn, the New Haven Skyhawks, Yale, Wesleyan as the interim head coach, Central Connecticut and George Washington.
